Buying a soft plastic Star Wars figure (not Imperial Assault, some kind of toy) with a pronounced "lean" inspired me to paint this mash-up of IG-88 and Scud the Disposable Assassin.
That paint scheme works wonderfully. I like the defined lean as well. Obviously gyroscopes in the CPU allow him to take whatever stance he may need for his wetwork.
I love the way you painted that yellow. It's a hard colour to get right. I'm surprised to hear that he's 28mm. I thought you were 15mm only. Well, your skills are clearly transferable between scales.
Thanks... I mostly do 15mm, but occasionally something larger comes up that I feel compelled to paint. I got a few Reaper Bones models for Xmas from my daughter, so you'll probably see those here at some point too :)
Ha ha! What a fine character!
ReplyDeleteI don't know Scud, but the droid certainly represents him well.
ReplyDeleteThe golden metal is almost perfect. Well painted!
Looks great.
