So far so good...

My Huntarr seem a bit... metally so far, but I'm sure they'll come together in the end.  I'm trying for the same look as my previously painted Vacation Aliens (pictured).  Not, alas, aided at all by my rapidly expiring bottle of Brazen Brass.  And god help me if my Tin Bitz bites the dust.

Avast, me hearties!

  1. Very nice!
Although it's no Devlan mud for other purposes, the new Citadel Agrax Earthshade is actually very good for taking the silvery edge off metal and adding a very subtle shade. I've been slopping it all over my rusty shanty buildings of late.

  2. Very nice Allison- you do them great justice. These aliens have always been my favourite, and it's good to see them in my chosen scale!

  3. Love 'em. Glazing w/ something yellowish might get rid of the meaty shade. Something like beige, maybe.

  4. SJ... I never entered the cult of Devlan Mud so I've actually never used it. Maybe I'll have to pick up some of the new GW shades if they actually work nicely. I'm all about saving time and effort as long as the results are nice :)
