Thanks, Ion Age!

I ordered some Ion Age stuff at the beginning of February... it never showed up :(  Fell off the boat, I guess.  But Gavin shipped it again, and threw in March's limited edition miniature too:

I'm going to try and paint one of these up for the blog ASAP, they're pretty nice figures.

Among other fun things, I ordered a couple of "Maligs", sort of undisciplined auxilaries from the Shia Khan faction.  I love them!  They'd make GREAT not-Space-Orks:

"More dakka!"

  1. Great service from these guys. Nice figures too. Please do your color makeover on the Zin guy 1st. I'm looking for a few good Chinese citizens to live, work, and fight in Possum Corners. (And that all takes place in the restaurant's kitchen!)

    1. Hello Jay,

The Zin are coming late on this year and information will be put up about it. It will be a whole force including armour and civilians too I think. GBS

  2. I'm not sure this guy is "good"... He looks like he might have a battle fleet waiting at L2 if you annoy him. He also calls in spurious bylaw complaints against his neighbours.

    1. He doesn't know it yet, but when he is summarily dumped onto my Man Divot table he will submit to my wishes and become Xi Jo Wang Restaurateur and Chinese laundry owner.

  3. I've been always tempted by Ion Age stuff... marines feel so rogue trader era and not-orks really look oldschool (I'm sick of gorkamorka -actual- style of orcs). Now i'm wondering what direction you'll take on these; 80s-90s with bright colors and reds all over or a more "modern" (muted) approach...

  4. It just goes to show that generally, this wargaming/modelling community is made of the right stuff! I ordered some buildings from Brigade Models on the 31st December. Having not received them after about 9/10 weeks, I contacted them via e-mail. The package had been sent, but must have gone missing. However, Tony replied swiftly, and within a few days had sent a replacement no questions asked. I shall highlight that on my next post.

    1. I think we all do our best for customers. Sometimes things just go missing. For us its about one in two hundred packages worldwide. I really love seeing happy wargamers showing off what they have gotten and painted and used too. GBS
