Murphy's Law

RoboCop
15 mm

"My program will not allow me to act against an officer of this company".

Another Khurasan figure painted as a favour.  I tried for a subtle purple ambient light effect as requested, but it's hard to see.  Maybe the reflection of red/blue police lights?

"No sense of humour, huh Pinocchio?"

  1. The light effect is noticeable in the pic showing his back. It's impressive what you are able to do with those tiny mofos. Even the lipstick effect is crazy (by cyborg drags standards anyways).

I'm into this game and have to admit you nailed it: ambient has to be so subtle it isn't misunderstood by object source light yet enough strong to be seen.

I find ace and extra funny the quote: RoboCop is the Americanisation of a Japanese tokusatsu hero called space sheriff Gavan, and there was a tokusatsu show called Kikaida where the protagonist robot was indeed the japanized version of Pinocchio.

Your dramatisation closed the circle, buddy!

    1. Thanks, glad you like him! LOL @ "cyborg drag"... a lot of pics of RC seem to show oddly flush lips for a guy with only half a circulatory system. I'm glad the light effect worked, mostly it just adds a hint more colour to a very grey figure.

  3. Great painting, the slightly polychromatic effect works well and is evocative of Robo's armour from the second movie onward.

Plus it's Robocop, the protagonist from one of my favourite movies, it's wins all round.

  4. Wow. You managed to turn an essentially monochromatic piece into something really, really interesting. :O

    1. Thanks. Isn't it a great sculpt? Odd that I never bought one myself...???

  6. Magnificent work, hat off! Some of the best NMM I've seen on a 15mm figure.
