Judgement Arrives

Mega City Judge
15 mm

A 15mm.co.uk figure, obviously inspired by a certain quasi-fascist comic book hero.  The pose is a bit static but the likeness itself is about as close as you're going to get without running afoul of THE LAW.

  1. Nice, very good paintjob. Like it a lot.

  2. Wow, I love that paint job. The visor really grabs me. This looks so much better than the pics they have on their website.

BTW how would you rate the casting quality on the figures from 15mm.uk? I worry that their moulds might be getting a bit worn because the figs are so old.

    1. Thanks! As for 15mm.co.uk:

      1) they desperately need better web pics. The ones they use make a lot of their products look, frankly, like sh*t. Even larger pics of unpainted, ink-washed casts would be better.

      2) the shipment I got from them is actually not at all bad. These sculpts are often not as good as most of the ones you'd get from eg. Khurasan or Battlefront (mainly the detail level of human features), but the casts themselves don't seem to be out of knackered molds.

    1. :) I have a handful of mixed characters, many of which you yourself have painted. Kind of a test run for 15mm.co.uk, if you will. No other Judges though.

  4. One of my fave characters of all time (and yet I have to wath the movie), you did it justice, and the comicbook shine on the visors works amazingly well.

Probably the best part IMO is the subtle muted down palette (oposite from bright green and blue uniform, this looks olive green and gray (w/ a shade of blue). However, maybe going for a more lleyow gods, maybe NNM would have been the cream of the crop.

  5. Totally awesome. I have seen people say this a lot on blogs, but I'm going to get some of these now that I've seen your paint job!
I have been thinking of doing a conversion based on the recent movie too. Great inspiring stuff!

  6. These pictures certainly have changed my mind about these minis. As you say, the pictures on their website do them no favours at all, but your rendition is terrific!
