The Christmas Loot

I hope everyone had a good holiday-of-your-choice. For me it was Christmas... and I finally got some hobby-related gifts! From my brother:

Yep, that's a 28mm scale TARDIS among the resin stuff in pic 1. Also some nice resin industrial/spaceship bases and a Lovecraftian pillar thing. I'm eager to try out the magnifying visor whenever I have time to paint my next project :) Might make painting eyes easier on my rapidly-aging eyes.

  1. mnnn... cthulhu + dr. who (cabin?) + sci-fi bases + vallejo = Epic combo!

BTW are you aware you just need to paint the visor yellow to look like Cyclops (xmen) while painting ? otherwise you'll look like bender! :D

Even being young (yet on my 30s) my eyes are aging too so I'm considering the visor option too but won't be a magnifying glass more comfy than the headgear ?

Oh, thanks for your comment on my blog, it triggered me to think you updated yours :)

  3. darth: It's so grotesque, isn't it? :) The resin is all from Fenris Games, they have an eBay store. Apart from a few little bubbles on the TARDIS, they're all really good casts too - crisp and detailed.

Javi: since I don't have a dedicated painting table any more, a magnifier I can wear will probably work out better than a "fixture".
