I found the semi-defunct website of a guy who bought all the old Heritage Molds and kept them in his garage. He would produce minis on demand. I bought a huge set of them from him. Sure beats buying them one at a time from eBay.matthewjksullivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08126108200355039621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11971136.post-79952938265565518862017-04-20T13:50:40.690-05:002017-04-20T13:50:40.690-05:00Thanks! And they seem to still be available on eBay for the collector. I sometimes wonder where these things come from but if I ever have to sell off my unpainted collection downstairs I'm sure people will think the same thing about those.Allison M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08362700513221195102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11971136.post-10987281050968025152017-04-20T10:17:59.154-05:002017-04-20T10:17:59.154-05:00I also really like those bases - they are worth wh...I also really like those bases - they are worth whatever trouble they give you, because they make your minis very distinctive (or add to their already distinctive style).
I know you don't play wargames, but these minis remind me so much of the old Heritage miniatures for Galacta (from the early 1980's). Did you ever hear of it or see the minis? They were somewhere between 15mm and 25mm and had solid bases.matthewjksullivanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08126108200355039621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11971136.post-7301950761508095162017-04-17T06:18:19.726-05:002017-04-17T06:18:19.726-05:00Thank you. I did the same thing on my previous "Wu Xia warriors" post, though with stones on the bases too.Allison M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08362700513221195102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11971136.post-91241589503642117892017-04-17T04:00:50.754-05:002017-04-17T04:00:50.754-05:00What strange bases, did you create these yourselve...What strange bases, did you create these yourselves?
The level of detail you manage to put on armour, faces and hair is astonishing.
